COLOR PALETTES

A palette of art and restraint

In A Study on Balance, color moves like gesture—emotive, material, alive. Each hue holds its own gravity, adrift, recalling Joan Mitchell’s chromatic scrawls and Lee Krasner’s layered symphonies, where color and sensation mingle.

Color becomes our environment—shades of moods, mirrors

"Japanese craftsmanship reflects the same tenets found in Beni's Moroccan art: a relationship to nature and the environment, the use of natural materials, and tradition," explains King.

These colors do not decorate; they sing

Rinsed Red sears and soothes in the same breath—visceral yet tempered. It embodies dualities: enlivening and meditative, quieting and electric.

Dusty Cornflower breathes open space into the room; it beckons the outside in. Softened blue like fog glimpsed from a moving train—lingering, waning, luminous. Faded Indigo is a deep, resonant blue that steadies the palette. Like stars scattered across the night sky, it whispers pause in wonder.

Mocha and oat connect us back to Earth: they are what lingers on our hands after tending the garden, the dust kicked up along a dirt road. The anchoring colors of the collection, they form the stage upon which red and blue sing.
