Production Quality Controller

Order Management:

  • Act as the air traffic controller for rugs in production, managing the flow of orders between various production locations.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of each order, including its specific requirements and timelines.
  • Use data-driven insights to ensure the efficient allocation of resources and the timely delivery of orders.
  • Manage flow of orders and allocation of orders and special projects based on assessment of weaver skill levels
  • Manage raw materials (warp, yarn batches) to ensure on-time delivery of orders
  • Manage tools and supplies to ensure team is set up for success

Efficiency Maximization:

  • Analyze production data to identify areas for efficiency improvements and implement strategies to optimize workflows.
  • Develop and maintain systems to track production metrics, errors, and waste, and work towards minimizing these issues.
  • Become an expert in Salesforce, our production tracking software
  • Partner with internal teams to increase weaving speed and quality

Quality Control:

  • Ensure consistency and quality of products across all production locations: Pile height, knot density, warp quality, design adherence, dye batch used, loom tension, band finishing, tassel finishing
  • Develop and enforce quality control standards and procedures to guarantee the highest level of craftsmanship.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits of production sites to ensure adherence to quality standards.

Team Management:

  • Manage and support weaving teams, providing guidance and training as necessary
  • Foster a collaborative and productive working environment.
  • Set performance goals for team members and monitor progress towards achieving these goals.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Identify and implement opportunities for process improvements and innovation.
  • Stay updated on industry best practices and integrate relevant advancements into production processes.

Communication:

  • Maintain clear and effective communication with all stakeholders, including production teams, suppliers, and senior management.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on production status, quality metrics, and improvement initiatives.
