We are proud to be the first vertically-integrated rug company in Morocco. We own and operate our own weaving and washing facilities which allows for innovation and sustainability.
Beni Rugs are woven from the very highest quality, 100% wool available. The wool is locally and humanely sourced in Morocco from live sheep only.
The answer is yes, slightly. All natural fiber rugs will shed slightly, especially in the beginning. Nothing is wrong with your rug, it's simply the nature of the material and the construction. For the rugs in our collection that can shed in the beginning, they are thoroughly washed in a proprietary process to eliminate as much shedding as possible before shipment. Regular vacuuming in the first couple of weeks will help to quickly reduce shedding.

Each BENI is made entirely by hand. As a result, natural variations in sizing of up to 5% can result. Please take this into account when measuring your space.
Everything you find on our website - designs, sizes, and colorways - are part of our standard collection. We also offer extensive options for customization to dimensions, colors, designs, and constructions. If you would like to explore customizing a design, please email bonjour@benirugs.com. Any non-standard customization is subject to a 20% upcharge on the standard retail price.

We endeavor to represent our rugs as close to their in-person nature as possible. The nature of the digital experience is that clients will see different variations of the same color depending on how they are viewing the website. We offer construction swatches as well as color poms so that you can see our constructions and colors in person before making a decision. Please note that final dimensions, pile heights, and designs can vary up to 5% due to the use of natural materials and the handmade nature of each product.
After placing an order, you have 24 hours to cancel or make any changes. Once that time period expires, your rug is in process and changes / cancellations are no longer possible.

For orders heading to the US, we charge state sales tax where applicable. For international orders, duties and taxes will be charged depending on the destination country.
While not essential, rug pads add a layer of protection for your floors and your rug. They are especially helpful for our Zahara flatweave rugs to keep them in place. We sell rug pads by request - let us know that you're interested in one by emailing bonjour@benirugs.com.
Rugs pads ship separately from rugs and are only available in the US.

If you've purchased a ready-to-ship rug, it will ship within 7-10 business days. If you've also ordered a rug pad, that ships separately and will arrive within the same time frame.
If you've purchased a made-to-order rug, lead times vary by construction, design complexity, and size. Please refer to the lead time listed on the product detail page. If you've purchased a rug pad along with your made-to-order rug, it will arrive within the same time frame as your rug.
Shipping costs vary by order value and selected shipping service.
We do offer white glove delivery in select markets in the United States for a additional fee. If you'd like a quote for white glove delivery, kindly drop our team a note to bonjour@benirugs.com within 24 hours of placing your order.

Depending on the construction and design, during certain times of the year, we do offer rush production accompanied by a rush fee. Kindly email bonjour@benirugs.com to find out if we're currently able to offer rushes.
Please note that due to the recent changes in tariff regulations, you may receive a tariff bill from FedEx after delivery. We are working with our partners to minimize these costs as much as possible.
Outside the USA, orders are quoted based on DDP (Delivery Duty Paid) basis, which means that all relevant import taxes and duties are included in your final purchase price. You'll find these under the 'Shipping + Duties' field.

Wool is a naturally resilient, liquid-repelling material. Our rugs are objects crafted to last, and with proper cleaning are meant to last for years.
To help extend the life of your rug, we recommend avoiding motorized attachments with beater brushes. Lower the power of the suction if possible. Vacuum side to side (parallel to the tassels or bindings of the rug). Your movements should be slow and steady in order to suck up as much dirt and dust as possible. If you need to spot clean your rug, do so with warm water and a small amount of mild detergent. Wool naturally repels liquids at first contact so treat it quickly with a dry cloth and follow up with water and detergent and your rug should be fine.
After a few years (or more serious soiling), we recommend having your rug professionally cleaned. Look for a quality professional cleaner in your part of the world to help reinvigorate your Beni rug. That being said, we put our rugs through a very intensive washing and drying process (sometimes up to 5 times per rug) to eliminate as much shedding as possible before shipment. Regular vacuuming in the first couple of weeks will help to quickly reduce shedding.
