Realized in collaboration with Studio KO and perfumer Azzi Glasser, the Intersection candle is a sensorial portal shaped by the past lives of a place. With this scent, honeyed rays from the desert sun in Morocco warm planks of cedar and cast stripes of shadow across cool concrete alleyways.
Aroma, like any other artifact, has the power to preserve memory and bottle time.
With this scent, the ephemeral nature of recollection finds permanence in wax and glass. From cedar logs and shaded concrete, each note is a marker of time and how it passes under the desert sun each day in Morocco.
Created in concert with Studio KO’s first collection for Beni, the conceptual makeup of this candle mirrors the character of the 10 rugs of Intersection. Bound by themes of time and record-keeping, each rug in the collection studies the fine print of how we write, preserve, and share our lives.
