Justin

from $615

Vintage designer towels were the jumping off point for Justin, a design made up of bold stripes in confident proportions. Justin is woven in Zahara, our flatwoven by hand construction: weavers tightly interlace strands of wool to create a low-profile surface that's casual, graphic, and striking, with a light feel underfoot. The dense weave gives the stripes their clean edges and saturated presence. Available in 3 colorways. Custom sizes available by request.

The Fine Print

One of One

Every rug is made by hand from 100% natural wool, which means there will be beautiful variations in pattern and color authored by Mother Nature herself. These are sure signs of an authentic Moroccan rug made for and by idiosyncratic people. Final sizes can vary by up to 5% from the size ordered.

Travel Paths

Zahara rugs are flat, roughly 0.4" thick. Easy and approachable for high-traffic areas, this construction offers a light feel underfoot and pairs well with warm weather.

A Touch of Expertise

The technique of hand-embroidery over Zahara rugs requires a haute-level of unwavering skill that only a handful of artisans in our studio can execute. The ability to author this arduous craft is a milestone achievement in the lifetime of a weaver that's earned through experience and dedication.

A Forward Lean

Traditionally, Zahara rugs featured bold geometric patterns or minimalist motifs. With these high-touch embroidered designs, our studio is pushing the envelope of what's expected in order to make room for the future of this ancient craft.

Swatches

Your order is made entirely by hand from 100% natural wool, which means there will be natural (and beautiful) variations in pattern and color. Wool shrinks! While we do our best, final sizes can vary by 5%

Our Process

The Beni Difference

Though there are many steps in the making of every rug, our washing method is where innovation braids into the traditional craft most technically. Once woven, each finished design goes through our proprietary washing process before moving to hand-hewn wooden racks in our courtyard to dry. This step results in soft and resilient rugs meant to last lifetimes.

There is no comparison to your product in terms of color saturation, nuance, loft of the fibers and design.
